Patient Safety Manager

The Patient Safety and Governance team at Hampshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an enthusiastic and dynamic individual to join our team as a Patient Safety Manager. You will champion and promote patient safety improvement across the Trust and lead on the Learning from Deaths processes.
Main ResponsibilitiesThe Patient Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring that systems and processes are in place to monitor patient safety with an emphasis on learning from deaths, learning from incidents, and responding to national safety alerts.
The role will also include the delivery of the Trust patient safety priorities, promotion of a safety culture that emphasizes learning (including shared learning), and direct support to staff undertaking learning responses and thematic reviews.
The post holder will be an expert in the NHS Patient Safety Strategy and will assist the Associate Director of Governance and Head of Patient Safety and Risk to deliver the Trust safety strategy.

Key Requirements- Sound knowledge of the national patient safety strategy, PSIRF, and a track record in delivering improvements.
- Excellent team and communication skills to enable you to influence and encourage working to enhance the safety of patients.
- Professional clinical qualification/background required for this position.
