Job Title: Adult Advanced Practitioner
Job Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Adult Advanced Practitioner to join our Transformation Unit team. As an Adult Advanced Practitioner, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality patient care and contributing to the development of our clinical services.
Main Responsibilities:
- Work as part of the unscheduled care team to deliver a high standard of care to patients in all clinical areas within the Transformation Unit.
- Work autonomously to provide a holistic approach to patient care, using appropriate assessment, planning, and treatment or referral as necessary.
- Provide clinical leadership and mentorship to other Advanced Practitioners and trainees, promoting best practice and excellence in patient care.
- Lead and maintain clinical governance and risk management initiatives, ensuring relevant processes are in place within the service.
- Develop and maintain a good working knowledge of current legislation surrounding advanced practice and non-medical prescribing, including best practice in unscheduled care.
Requirements:
- Registered Nurse with valid NMC registration or Health Care Professional with relevant clinical experience.
- Willing and able to complete a full Master's in Advanced Clinical Practice, which may be via the apprenticeship route.
- Advanced Physical Assessment module, Non-Medical Prescribing (if part of the proposed role).
- Advanced life support qualification (ALS/ILS) or willingness to undertake.
- Evidence of relevant continuous professional development.
- Recognised Teaching & Assessment Qualification or equivalent experience.
- Recognised Leadership Award/qualification or equivalent experience.
Desirable Qualities:
- Experience of working in an extended role with experience of autonomous practice.
- Evidence of a portfolio of practice and sign-off of competence.
- Experience of delivering training/education to others.
- Experience of undertaking service improvement activity.
- Evidence of contribution to audit and research programs.
- Experience of training, supervising, and assessing competence of junior colleagues (medical staff/ACP's/NMAHPs).
- Clinical/managerial leadership experience, including line management of staff.
- Excellent presentation skills.
Personal Qualities:
