About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Wordings Specialist to join our team at AXA XL. As a key member of our Global Wordings team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the underwriting business across all product lines, covering a wide range of complex risks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Analysis and Drafting: Analyze and review existing and new insurance products, including competitors' products, to deliver timely and commercial solutions to any issues raised.
- Product Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to build new insurance products from scratch or refine existing ones, driving innovation for the AXA XL brand.
- Teamwork and Collaboration: Work closely with colleagues across the Wordings team, Legal Department, and other departments to deliver on team goals and service delivery requirements.
- Training and Development: Share best practices, deliver presentations, and provide technical wording advice to underwriting teams and other stakeholders.
- Supporting Underwriters: Assist underwriters in achieving underwriting discipline through coverage analysis and robust wording solutions, highlighting potential coverage exposure to emerging risks.
Requirements:
- Ability to interpret and analyze insurance clauses and wording requests, drafting clear and robust wording solutions.
- Confidence in delivering wording solutions to underwriters, brokers, and peers in writing and face-to-face.
- Comprehensive understanding of business, legal, and compliance needs for individual insurance classes.
- Ability to plan and self-manage workload, work under pressure, and adhere to deadlines and competing priorities.
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and exercise independent judgment.
- Demonstrable wordings experience and proven record of working in-depth with insurance wordings.
Desired Skills:
- In-depth understanding of standard clauses used in the market and class-specific wording structures.
