AXA XL, the P&C and specialty risk division of AXA, is seeking a talented Wordings Specialist to join their Global Wordings team. As a key member of the team, you will play a crucial role in supporting the underwriting business across all product lines, covering a wide range of complex risks.

About the Role

As a Wordings Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Analyzing and reviewing existing and new insurance products, including analysis and explanation of individual clauses and entire product wordings.
  • Creating and innovating new insurance products from scratch or refining existing ones, leading innovation for the AXA XL brand.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across the Wordings team, Legal Department, and beyond to deliver on team goals and service delivery requirements.
  • Providing pre-bind and post-bind technical wording advice to underwriters and other stakeholders.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Ability to interpret and analyze insurance clauses and wording requests, drafting clear and robust wording solutions.
  • Confidence to deliver your own wording solutions to underwriters, brokers, and peers.
  • Comprehensive understanding of business, legal, and compliance needs for individual insurance classes.
  • Ability to plan and self-manage workload, working under pressure while adhering to deadlines and competing priorities.
  • Ability to work independently with little or no supervision and exercise independent judgment.
