Position: Educational Administration Officer
Location: North Leeds
Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Educational Administration Officer to join our administrative and attendance team within a mainstream secondary school. This role is integral to maintaining a supportive and efficient school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and account for student attendance, which may involve visiting various departments within the school.
- Manage safeguarding concerns related to student attendance.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians.
- Ensure accurate maintenance of data records.
- Generate attendance reports and metrics.
- Perform basic administrative tasks, including managing emails, drafting letters, and utilizing spreadsheets.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in an administrative capacity.
- Experience as an attendance officer is preferred but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Outlook, Excel, and Word.
- Ability to quickly learn new computer systems and processes.
- Strong interpersonal skills with a background in people-oriented roles.
- Possession of a valid DBS on the update service or willingness to apply for one.
- Experience in an educational setting or working with young individuals is advantageous.
Contract Details:
- This is a full-time position, operating Monday to Friday during term time, with potential for additional workdays during school holidays.
- Standard working hours are from 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM / 4:00 PM, with an earlier finish on Fridays.
- Enjoy up to 13 weeks / 65 days of holiday annually.
