About the Role

Owen Mumford Ltd is seeking a highly skilled Health, Safety and Environmental Manager to join their team. As a key member of the organization, you will be responsible for developing and implementing effective health, safety, and environmental management systems to ensure compliance with current legislation and company requirements.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and maintain compliance with all applicable health, safety, and environmental legislation
  • Formulate, develop, and review policies, procedures, and guidance to ensure compliance
  • Develop and maintain documentation, operational checks, and reports for the health, safety, and environmental management systems
  • Establish and maintain a reporting system for safety and environmental events, including accidents, incidents, near misses, and non-conformities
  • Lead investigations into RIDDOR reportable accidents and implement corrective actions
  • Advise the Executive Team and Management on health, safety, and environmental objectives and establish management programs to monitor compliance and report progress
  • Provide ongoing support and advice to managers on health, safety, and environmental topics, including occupational health interventions, risk assessments, waste management, energy efficiency, and contractor management
  • Establish and maintain a system for identifying and evaluating significant health and safety risks and environmental impacts
  • Develop and implement systems for conducting workplace inspections and internal audits
Requirements
  • NEBOSH Diploma
  • Experience in health, safety, and environmental management systems and procedures
  • Chartered Membership of IOSH
  • IEMA or equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a safety environment
  • Familiar with safe working practices
  • Good understanding of corporate and social responsibilities
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
