We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Housing Support Specialist to join our team at Peabody's Young Persons Project in Hertford. As a key member of our team, you will work closely with vulnerable young people who are experiencing homelessness, providing them with the support and guidance they need to achieve their goals and live independently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Meet with a caseload of young customers on a weekly basis to discuss their progress and goals
  • Work with a team of dedicated colleagues to provide support and guidance to young people with complex needs
  • Help young people access the housing register or find suitable rented accommodation when they are ready to move on
  • Build strong, trusting relationships with young people to create a safe and supportive environment
  • Identify signs of concern and take appropriate action to ensure the young person's safety and well-being
Requirements
  • Experience of working with vulnerable young people and managing challenging behavior
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and trauma-informed principles
  • Ability to work flexibly and as part of a team
  • Enhanced child and adult workforce DBS check
