About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated Senior Support Worker to join our compassionate team at Encompass (Dorset), a Specialist Mental Health Residential Home in Weymouth. Our home provides exceptional care for individuals with severe and enduring mental illnesses, helping them lead full, dignified, and independent lives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centered care to our residents
  • Work collaboratively with our multidisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to residents, promoting their independence and well-being
  • Contribute to a safe and respectful living environment, adhering to our home's policies and procedures

Requirements:

  • Experience working in a mental health care setting, preferably in a residential environment
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with residents and colleagues
  • Ability to work flexibly, including evenings and weekends, to meet the needs of our residents
  • Commitment to delivering person-centered care, promoting the rights and dignity of individuals with mental health needs
