About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and dedicated individual to join our team as a Support Worker. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in ensuring the well-being and safety of our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work effectively as a member of the staff team, communicating efficiently with colleagues and other staff.
  • Offer support to service users on an individual basis, consistent with the aims and objectives of the service and the wider organisation.
  • Undertake flexible working arrangements, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-in duties, to meet the needs of service users and the service.
  • Contribute to the planning, delivery, and review of care plans, as agreed with each service user, and assume designated keyworker responsibilities where required.
  • Act as an enabler for service users, supporting them to live as independently as possible.
  • Provide practical and emotional support to service users, while maintaining appropriate professional boundaries.
  • Ensure that service users' rights are respected and their dignity is maintained, in accordance with the Human Rights Act and Mental Capacity Act 2005.
  • Support service users in their decision-making processes and respect their life choices.
  • Ensure that safeguarding policies are adhered to, protecting and safeguarding vulnerable individuals.
  • Enable and support service users to access facilities and therapeutic activities in community settings.
  • Maintain a comfortable, relaxed, and purposeful environment, undertaking household duties in collaboration with colleagues and service users.
  • Complete administrative duties as designated by the service manager and/or senior support staff.
  • Participate in and contribute to staff appraisal and supervisions, as well as service user and staff team meetings.
  • Complete timesheets on a weekly basis and report any broken or faulty equipment to the service manager and/or senior support staff.
  • Present for work with a smart, clean, and tidy appearance, adhering to organisational guidelines.
  • Adhere to health and safety guidelines and the organisation's policy on confidentiality and data protection.
Requirements

Working Arrangements

The successful candidate will be required to work a variety of shifts, including weekends, evenings, and sleep-in duties. They will also be expected to participate in training and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge.

Salary and Benefits

The salary for this role is £11.44 per hour for weekdays, £11.44 per hour for weekday nights, £17.16 per hour for Bank Holidays, and £17.16 per hour for Bank Holiday nights. Sleep-in duties are paid at £35.00 per night.
