Key Responsibilities
  • Plan and coordinate transportation operations to ensure timely and efficient delivery of goods
  • Manage and maintain a strong sub-contractor pool to meet business delivery demands
  • Develop and implement analytical reports to identify areas for improvement within the transport function
  • Communicate effectively with customers, sub-contractors, and internal teams to ensure seamless operations
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators to ensure compliance with company standards
Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year's experience in a fast-paced transport or logistics environment
  • Numerate - Ability to work with numerical data
  • Highly competent with PC literate - Good working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Transport IT/web-based systems
  • Excellent customer service and administration skills
  • Highly organized, self-sufficient, and able to work on own initiative and to tight deadlines
  • Be flexible in your approach to work and hours
  • Good UK geographical knowledge
  • Reliable in approach to work and adaptable to fit into different teams and environments
  • Professional in appearance and manner
  • Adaptable to change and a strong team player
