Job Title: Transport Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Transport Manager to join our team at Challenge Logistics. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day activities of our transport operation at Felixstowe and driving business growth and development across the wider Challenge Logistics network.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the planning and execution of transport operations to ensure optimal cost-effectiveness and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage and develop a team of transport professionals to achieve business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
  • Develop and implement commercial reports and outcomes to drive business growth and improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with fleet and driver regulations, including Operator Licence requirements.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients and internal teams.
Requirements:
  • Proven management experience in a successful transport operation with a large fleet.
  • CPC qualification and extensive knowledge of Operator Licence regulations.
  • Experience of compliance auditing processes and ability to lead process improvements.
  • Excellent planning, organisation, and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work under pressure.
  • Strong administrative skills and proficiency in Microsoft Word/Excel.
