Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Management Accountant to join our team at Sharp Consultancy. As a Management Accountant, you will be responsible for preparing monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, variance analysis, KPI reporting, and supporting the Finance Manager with ad hoc projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare monthly management accounts, budgets, and forecasts, and provide variance analysis and KPI reporting.
- Support the Finance Manager with ad hoc projects and provide financial insight and analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Work closely with other departments and senior stakeholders to provide financial information and support.
- Reconcile key balance sheet controls and ensure that key balance sheet reconciliations are presented to a high professional standard.
- Support the Group Finance Controller with the centralizing of operational finance activities of acquired companies into our central team.
- Contribute to high-level monthly reporting on the status of key balance sheet controls and provide an early warning of any emerging risk or issues.
- Act as a point of contact in the business to help with queries on financial reporting and records.
- Assist with the production of tax packs to ensure annual tax returns are complete and accurate.
- Approval of bank payments in line with group policies.
- Reconciliation and balancing of the daily cash book, day-end and month-end procedures.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with relevant departments to collate accurate and timely management information.
Requirements:
- Qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA or equivalent.
- Strong Excel skills and excellent communication skills.
- Proactive and positive attitude.
