Apprentice Quantity Surveyor

A dynamic and rapidly expanding company based in the UK is seeking an experienced Commercial Manager / Quantity Surveyor to join their team.
Key Responsibilities:- Project Costing and Analysis: Prepare and analyse project costings for tenders, including materials, quantities, labor, and time.
- Contract Negotiation and Management: Negotiate and manage contracts with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors.
- Cost Control: Monitor and control costs throughout the project lifecycle.
- Reporting and Financial Management: Prepare and submit detailed progress reports and financial statements.
- Procurement Strategy and Risk Management: Advise on procurement strategy and risk management.
- Team Collaboration: Collaborate with the team and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project execution.
- Planning and Programming: Develop a high-level understanding of planning and programming to ensure accurate progress reporting.
- Process Optimization: Utilise specific processes and procedures on projects to maximise returns in terms of profit and service level.
- Resource Management: Establish and maintain accurate and robust reporting structures and monitor resources and costs to ensure that projects meet and/or exceed targets.
- Procurement and Supply Chain Management: Procure materials and off-site services in an efficient manner with organisations in accordance with the company procurement policy and procedures and ensure appropriate records are kept.
- Commercial Experience: Previous experience working as a commercial manager / quantity surveyor.
- Training and Qualifications: Ideally will have trained with a main contractor.
- Experience Level: The ideal person will have 2 to 3 years of experience post-graduation.
- Graduates: Graduates could be considered for this role; however, you would need commercial experience gained on day release.
- Working Hours: Hours of work are Monday to Friday 8am to 5pm, with a 3.
- Hybrid Working: Some hybrid working can be considered.
- Holiday Entitlement: Holiday entitlement is 21 days + bank holidays, rising with length of service.
