OverviewThe role of Director of Biostatistics for Medical Affairs is pivotal in shaping the statistical strategy and innovation at an advanced expert level. This position involves active participation in cross-functional collaboration and decision-making across various programs and therapeutic areas within clinical development and medical affairs.
Role ResponsibilitiesIn this strategic position, you will:
- Lead and integrate contributions from diverse quantitative scientists, influencing clinical development and interactions with health authorities.
- Represent the biostatistics function at both internal and external decision-making boards.
- Mentor and develop fellow statisticians, providing them with strategic, technical, operational, and scientific guidance.
This role encompasses a hybrid working model, requiring a commitment to in-office collaboration.
Key QualificationsThe ideal candidate will possess:
- A Master's degree in Statistics or a related field with over 12 years of experience, or a PhD with at least 8 years of relevant experience in Real World Data analysis methodologies.
- Proficiency in English, with exceptional communication and presentation skills to convey complex statistical concepts to varied audiences.
- A proven track record of influencing decisions that significantly impact project outcomes and departmental objectives.
- Advanced knowledge of statistical applications and innovative methodologies.
- Familiarity with drug development processes and health authority regulations.
- A strong understanding of at least one specific disease area.
- Demonstrated leadership capabilities with a focus on collaboration and mentorship.
