Position SummaryThe Event Program Manager is a proactive, innovative, and accountable professional who thrives on the challenge and independence of developing a top-tier program from inception to execution.
Key Responsibilities:- Evaluate the industry landscape and previous events (both in-person and virtual) to identify market opportunities.
- Collaborate with the Brand Strategy Director, Head of Product Process & Delivery, and Head of Product to establish the event's strategic direction for the year.
- Conduct thorough research on the conference agenda by engaging with a diverse cross-section of the target audience through calls, desk research, and meetings to ascertain customer needs.
- Form and manage an advisory board when necessary.
- Assess the strengths and weaknesses of competing events through their websites, promotional materials, and discussions with competitive speakers.
- Analyze multi-source research to develop a compelling program agenda.
- Identify and reach out to potential speakers, crafting persuasive arguments to encourage their participation.
- Negotiate speaker fees and expenses while adhering to the budgetary guidelines established in the event target sheet.
- Design an engaging content-driven marketing campaign to promote the conference.
- Compose industry-focused promotional content for websites and marketing materials.
- Collaborate with the digital media team to create and execute promotional campaigns across various platforms.
- Work alongside the marketing department to ensure effective targeting of the right audience, sourcing suitable media partners, and collaborating with the chairman, speakers, and sponsors to enhance the event's visibility.
- Partner with Sponsorship and Exhibition teams to identify leads and additional revenue-generating opportunities.
- Source special guest speakers from outside the industry.
- Coordinate with operations to ensure accurate budgeting and smooth event execution on the day.
- Effectively utilize a variety of digital platforms and tools as required.
- Oversee the conference on the day of the event, including opening remarks.
- Conduct on-site research to identify future event opportunities and areas for improvement.
- Compile post-event analysis to assess outcomes and gather insights.
- Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience in event production.
- Familiarity with or knowledge of the financial services sector, particularly private capital, is advantageous but not mandatory.
- Demonstrated research capabilities utilizing various information sources.
- Strong time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Exceptional interpersonal and relationship management skills.

- Successful candidates are likely to hold a 2:1 degree (or equivalent).
