Position Summary:

  • Oversee and sustain the DPS Engineering development ecosystem, including infrastructure, services, and tools.
  • Design and execute Engineering Platform services along with self-service resources.
  • Offer Operational and DevOps insights for the enhancement of Continuous Integration systems and Engineering workflows that support a multifaceted, cross-platform codebase and various products.
  • Foster collaborative relationships among IT, Information Security, and DPS Engineering teams.
  • Manage the execution of the DevOps team's project backlog.

Qualifications:

Experience:

Essential

At least 2 years of experience in Infrastructure administration and maintenance tasks.

Desired

A degree in Computer Science or a related Engineering discipline. Collaborating with software and hardware engineers to support product delivery and ensure value flow to customers.

Knowledge:

Essential

Proficient in operating system administration and maintenance, including Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, SUSE), Windows, and Mac OS. Experience in managing virtual machines (vSphere) and physical servers (including Dell and HP) throughout their lifecycle; from deployment to maintenance and decommissioning. Familiarity with observability, infrastructure and process monitoring, instrumentation, and analysis tools (Zabbix, ELK). Expertise in automated provisioning and configuration of infrastructure, tooling, and services, including Infrastructure as Code and Configuration as Code (PXE, unattended installs, Packer, Templating/Golden Images, Terraform, Ansible). Practical knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) and experience in deploying these systems. Solid understanding of Information Security principles and practices, including server hardening, firewalls, least privilege, and RBAC. Comprehensive understanding of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery methodologies (build, test, and release pipeline, system design, and infrastructure) and tools (Bamboo, Jenkins, and Gitlab). Familiarity with DevOps methodologies and principles. Basic understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban/SAFe).

Desired

Experience in infrastructure design, configuration, and maintenance, including networking and storage. Knowledge of data protection and business continuity practices, including backup and recovery strategies. Familiarity with Cloud-based systems, tools, administration, and operations (AWS, Azure, GCP). Experience in database configuration and administration (PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server). Background in software development, leveraging development principles for infrastructure administration, automated testing, and deployment.

Job Complexity:

Ability to collaborate within a team, developing feature work from conception through implementation and deployment phases with guidance from Senior and Principal Engineers. Work alongside product development engineers to ensure their activities and product requirements are met without disruption.
