About the Role

We are seeking a talented Graduate Structural Engineer to join our team at AKT II in Cambridge. As a Graduate Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in our busy Structural Design teams, working on a wide range of projects and developing your skills in structural engineering.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver fully coordinated structural designs on various projects, collaborating with local and national structures teams.
  • Liaise with statutory authorities, architects, design teams, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution.
  • Develop expertise in the use of cutting-edge design software, such as Tekla Structural Designer and Revit.
  • Assist in design reviews and verification checks to ensure high-quality deliverables.
  • Participate in site visits and surveys to gain hands-on experience and insights.
Requirements
  • Hold a minimum 2:1 degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (BEng or MEng) with experience in structural design.
  • Prior technical or industry experience is advantageous.
  • Be committed to achieving chartered status with IStructE or ICE.
  • Exhibit excellent written and verbal communication skills.
