Job Title: Structural Design Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Structural Design Engineer to join our team at AKT II in Shoreditch, London. As a key member of our design team, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality structural design solutions for a wide range of projects, from commercial and retail to education and leisure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement structural design concepts and solutions for projects, working closely with colleagues from other disciplines.
  • Prepare detailed design calculations, drawings, and specifications, ensuring compliance with relevant design guidance and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with clients and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver tailored design solutions.
  • Contribute to the development of innovative and sustainable design solutions, incorporating the latest technologies and materials.
  • Support the production of construction information and documentation for issue to contractors.
Requirements:
  • Good degree in Structural or Civil Engineering.
  • Experience in structural design, with a strong understanding of Eurocodes and British Standards.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in design and analysis software, including 3D modeling and detailing tools.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients, colleagues, and contractors.
