DevOps Engineer II - Infrastructure & Automation

We are seeking a talented and motivated DevOps Engineer II to join our growing team. In this role, you will play a vital part in ensuring the smooth operation and continuous improvement of our development infrastructure, services, and tools. You will collaborate closely with engineers across various disciplines to implement robust automation solutions and streamline our software delivery processes.

Responsibilities:
  • Manage and maintain the development infrastructure, including virtual machines, physical servers, and cloud environments.
  • Develop and implement self-service resources and platform services to empower developers.
  • Contribute to the design and improvement of our continuous integration systems and engineering processes.
  • Foster strong relationships with IT, Information Security, and development teams to ensure seamless collaboration.
  • Execute tasks outlined in the DevOps team backlog.
Qualifications:

Essential Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in infrastructure administration and maintenance.
  • Proficiency in operating system administration for Linux (Ubuntu, Red Hat, SUSE), Windows, and Mac OS.
  • Experience supporting virtual machines (vSphere) and physical servers throughout their lifecycle.
  • Knowledge of observability tools such as Zabbix, ELK, for monitoring infrastructure and processes.
  • Expertise in automated provisioning and configuration management using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools like Terraform or Ansible.
  • Working knowledge of containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
  • Understanding of information security principles and best practices for infrastructure operations.
  • Familiarity with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) practices and tools such as Bamboo, Jenkins, or GitLab.
  • Knowledge of DevOps methodologies and Agile principles (Scrum, Kanban).

Desired Skills & Experience:

  • Experience in designing, configuring, and maintaining network and storage infrastructure.
  • Knowledge of data protection and business continuity practices, including backup and recovery.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based systems, tools, administration, and operations (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with database configuration and administration (PostgreSQL, MS SQL Server).
  • Software development experience to leverage development principles for infrastructure administration, automated testing, and deployment.
