GP Practice Administrator

We are seeking a highly organized and customer-focused individual to join our team as a GP Receptionist at Dean Cross Surgery. As the first point of contact for patients, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our practice.
Main Duties- Answer telephone calls and direct patients to the appropriate service with empathy and compassion.
- Manage the front desk, welcoming visitors and supporting patients and colleagues to ensure a seamless experience.
- Provide administrative support to clinicians and service providers as needed.
- Monitor and respond to emails, ensuring timely and effective communication.
- Prepare patient registration packs and ensure accurate and timely processing.
- Monitor tasks, results, and referrals, following up on queries and keeping patients informed.
- Ensure a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to practice policies and procedures.
Dean Cross Surgery is a busy and supportive practice serving a population of around 10,000 patients. We prioritize delivering great customer service and outstanding care, and we are looking for a team member who shares our values and commitment to excellence.
Person Specification- GCSE English
- Administration/Customer Service qualification or demonstrable experience
- NVQ 3 Business Administration or Customer Service (desirable)
- Experience working in a patient/customer-facing role
- Experience working in a busy environment with competing demands
