Support Worker

About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team in Bidford-on-Avon. As a Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing person-centred support to individuals with learning disabilities, empowering them to make their own decisions and choices about their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support individuals with learning disabilities in their own homes, promoting independence and autonomy.
  • Assist with daily living tasks, such as personal care, medication administration, and budgeting.
  • Encourage and support individuals to engage in activities they enjoy, such as socialising, hobbies, and community events.
  • Work collaboratively with the support team to develop and implement individualised support plans.
  • Provide emotional support and guidance to individuals, promoting their mental and emotional well-being.

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a support worker role, preferably in a learning disability setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including evenings and sleepovers.
  • Enhanced Adult DBS clearance.
