Senior Support Worker

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Support Worker to join our team at Shire Healthcare. As a Senior Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care and support to adults with learning and physical difficulties in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities- Medication Management: Manage the medication system, including ordering and administration, to ensure the highest level of care and safety for our service users.
- Care Planning: Ensure care plans and risk assessments are accurate, up-to-date, and meet the individual needs of our service users.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and lead a team of support workers, providing guidance and support to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
- Service User Support: Provide support to service users in accordance with their needs and wishes, as detailed in their person-centred support plans.
- Safeguarding: Demonstrate a commitment to the safeguarding of adults and recognize and report any disclosure, suspicion, or evidence of harm, risk of harm, abuse, or neglect.
- Health and Wellbeing: Support service users to remain as active and healthy as possible, promoting independence and autonomy.
- Training and Development: Attend training, including induction training, team meetings, and individual supervisions, to ensure ongoing professional development and expertise.
- Daily Living Support: Support service users in all aspects of their daily living, including shopping, cooking, and domestic tasks.
- Active Lifestyle: Support service users to live an active lifestyle, promoting physical and mental wellbeing.
- Professional Development: Enrolment onto a level 3 or 5 qualification to support your ongoing professional development and career progression.
