We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Support Worker to join our team at a specialist provider in Clayton Le Woods, Lancashire. The successful candidate will work in a residential setting, providing support to young adults with learning disabilities and physical disabilities.
About the RoleThis is a permanent position, working between 35 to 40 hours per week. While previous experience is not essential, we welcome applications from individuals looking to start their career as a Support Worker. Our client offers a nurturing, supportive, and fun working environment, with opportunities for progression into a Senior Role.
Key Responsibilities- Support service users in accordance with their needs and wishes, as detailed in their person-centred support plans.
- Demonstrate a commitment to the Safeguarding of Adults and report any disclosure, suspicion, or evidence of harm, risk of harm, abuse, or neglect.
- Accurately complete documentation that forms part of their support plans and notes.
- Support service users in staying active, healthy, and as independent as possible.
- Attend training, including induction training, team meetings, and individual supervisions.
- Support people in all aspects of their daily living, such as shopping, cooking, and domestic tasks.
- Enrolment onto a level 3 in Health and Social Care.
