Position Overview: Hand and Wrist Orthopaedic Consultant

The Department of Trauma and Orthopaedics is seeking a dedicated and proficient hand and wrist orthopaedic consultant to enhance their team. The ideal candidate will be instrumental in delivering acute trauma care and managing elective orthopaedic procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver thorough treatment for hand and wrist conditions
  • Advance the scope of elective surgeries for hand and wrist
  • Engage in clinical governance and educational initiatives

Qualifications:

Essential:

  • FRCS (Tr & Orth) or equivalent qualification
  • Registered as a specialist in Trauma & Orthopaedic Surgery
  • Valid Licence to Practise
  • Certification as an ATLS Provider

Desirable:

  • Relevant advanced degree
  • Post Graduate Diploma in hand surgery
  • Certification as an ATLS Trainer

Experience Required:

Essential:

  • Fellowship-level training in Upper Limb Surgery
  • Clinical experience in Trauma & Orthopaedics
  • Capability to provide expert clinical assessments

Desirable:

  • Participation in management training programs
  • Training in teaching and educational supervision
