About the Role

Corserv is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Community Care Supervisor to lead our team of Community Care Support Workers. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of our services, ensuring the highest standards of care and quality of life for our service users.

Key Responsibilities
  • Team Leadership: Oversee the work schedules of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers, ensuring optimal planning and delivery of care services.
  • Service Operations: Manage the day-to-day operations of our services, including staff support, team performance, and attendance management.
  • Partnership Working: Liaise with healthcare professionals and local communities to process referrals and facilitate safe interventions of support.
  • Staff Supervision: Supervise and monitor allocated Community Support Workers, taking appropriate action as required, including appraisals and regular reviews.
  • Training and Development: Participate in national and local development programs, delivering ongoing training to team members, including client-specific topics and Care Quality Commission (CQC) requirements.
  • Service User Support: Carry out initial visits to service users to produce detailed reablement/support plans, monitoring and reviewing those plans as service user needs change.
  • Risk Management: Conduct provider risk assessments and moving and handling risk assessments to minimize areas of risk to service users, staff, and the general public.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor the service provided to service users, ensuring regular feedback to Registered Managers and Commissioners, ensuring the safety and well-being of service users and staff.
  • Complaints and Incidents: Receive and investigate complaints, accidents, and incidents according to procedure, ensuring safeguarding issues are addressed promptly.
Requirements
  • Qualifications: Minimum level qualification in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
  • Experience: Experience in providing direct care in a work setting, supervisory/line management qualification, and/or demonstrable experience of leading a team in frontline care.
  • Skills: Awareness of developments within Health and Social Care, multi-agency care issues, and relevant healthcare training.
