Position Overview

Employment Type: Permanent

Working Hours: 42 hours per week, Monday to Friday with Saturday shifts on a rotational basis (1 in 3) from 8am to 1pm

Compensation: £48,000 OTE (comprising a basic salary between £30,000 and £42,000 based on qualifications and experience, plus performance bonuses)

Lookers is seeking a skilled Vehicle Technician to enhance our dynamic workshop team. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced colleagues to perform comprehensive vehicle health assessments utilizing cutting-edge technology, execute vehicle servicing, and undertake various repairs as necessary.

Our technicians are essential to our Service team, consistently delivering exceptional customer service. We invite qualified Vehicle Technicians or seasoned Mechanics, whether from a dealership or independent workshop, to consider this opportunity.

Key Responsibilities


• Conducting thorough vehicle health assessments using advanced technology

• Performing vehicle services in line with manufacturer specifications and customer requirements

• Executing additional repairs upon customer authorization

• Carrying out warranty repairs according to manufacturer guidelines, ensuring all documentation is accurately completed

• Test-driving customer vehicles to confirm all issues have been resolved

• Completing all necessary paperwork to a high standard

Required Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess prior experience as a mechanic. You should be self-driven, ambitious, and eager to learn, with a commitment to maintaining the highest standards. A full UK driving license and completion of NVQ Level 3 or an equivalent qualification are essential.

Experience with the Mercedes brand is advantageous but not mandatory, as comprehensive brand training will be provided. A valid MOT license is also preferred.
