Position Overview
The Credit Strategy Risk Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the credit strategy for NatWest Boxed. This position involves the stewardship of innovative product design, account initiation, portfolio oversight, and policy formulation.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive the advancement of personal lending portfolios through NatWest Boxed, identifying and evaluating suitable opportunities.
- Collaborate with various teams across the organization to develop, approve, implement, and monitor credit policies.
- Support NatWest Boxed in delivering credit risk services to clients by developing and maintaining risk and decision support models.
Additional Duties
- Assist prospective clients in understanding the value of our credit risk services.
- Provide expert input on credit risk strategy for new client and product initiatives, as well as regulatory updates.
- Manage portfolio credit risks, including bad debt provisions and risk-weighted assets, ensuring compliance with limits.
- Ensure the performance of personal credit risk portfolios aligns with established risk frameworks.
- Facilitate effective change management through the design and execution of strategic initiatives.
- Engage with stakeholders across a diverse organizational structure.
- Influence ongoing credit customer management and related projects.
- Offer insights and constructive challenges to drive automation efforts.
Required Skills and Experience
To excel in this role, candidates should possess:
- Proficiency in coding languages alongside strong analytical capabilities.
- A solid understanding of the banking sector, including risk management and regulatory standards.
- Experience working with external clients to enhance their comprehension of credit risk strategies and decision-making systems.
