About the Role

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled professional to join our team as a Director of Quality Assurance. This is a key leadership role that will play a critical part in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, safe, and effective care to our patients.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement effective patient safety frameworks and quality governance strategies to ensure the provision of high-quality, safe care.
  • Provide leadership and oversight for the operational management of quality assurance and patient safety, working closely with the Executive Team and Board.
  • Enhance and strengthen the organization-wide quality improvement program, ensuring that Psychiatry UK is well-prepared to meet external regulatory inspection requirements.
  • Coordinate and develop clinical governance activities, policies, and systems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Ensure that audits are in place to measure, monitor, and develop standards of care and service improvements.
  • Take a leadership role in responding to external reviews and inquiries, ensuring that recommendations are implemented and shared across service lines.
  • Work collaboratively with other professionals to develop an organizational culture that promotes effective clinical care, stimulates innovation, and drives change through critical appraisal, research, and practice development.
  • Lead the Risk, Safety, Governance, and Quality teams, providing clinical and professional leadership to nursing staff and other allied health professionals.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with extensive mental healthcare knowledge and experience in a similar role in an NHS organization.
  • Breadth of experience in risk management, governance, and patient/carer collaboration within a regulated environment.
  • Proven track record of transformational leadership, enabling culture change in teams, and delivering complex projects from conception to delivery and evaluation.
  • Effective system working and excellent collaboration skills, with the ability to motivate, challenge, and engage individuals and teams.
  • Experience in leading large-scale operational delivery of clinical services, realizing quality, resource, and delivery benefits.
