Job Summary:

NHS Fife is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Biomedical Scientist to join our team. As a Specialist Biomedical Scientist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality laboratory services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct complex laboratory tests and analyses to support patient diagnosis and treatment.
  • Develop and implement new laboratory procedures and protocols to improve efficiency and accuracy.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to provide expert advice and guidance on laboratory results.
  • Participate in quality assurance and quality control activities to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of laboratory policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Biomedical Scientist.
  • IBMS accredited Biomedical Science BSc Hons or similar qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to work rotating shifts, including evenings, weekends, and overnight.
