Position Overview:We are seeking a seasoned Carbon Consultant to become part of our Sustainability Advisory team within the Environmental division. Our expanding team is dedicated to delivering sustainable strategies that assist our clients in achieving carbon neutrality. Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, we strive to maximize opportunities for our clients to advance their sustainability goals.
Our diverse business landscape offers you a standard of variety. You will engage in a multitude of projects spanning various sectors, including buildings, infrastructure, and water. Our team provides a comprehensive suite of services, from strategic guidance and management systems to carbon footprint analysis, carbon management, renewable energy solutions, and advice on energy transitions.
Key Responsibilities:- Provide expert advice to clients on decarbonization strategies aligned with carbon budgets and Net Zero objectives.
- Conduct organizational and asset-level GHG Inventories, encompassing scope 1, 2, and 3 across diverse sectors and projects.
- Execute carbon assessments for infrastructure and buildings, including carbon calculations and Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs).
- Guide organizations in corporate sustainability initiatives, including SECR, CDP, Science Based Targets, and GRESB.
- Utilize carbon accounting and life cycle assessment tools such as OneClick LCA, E-tool, and EC3.
- Lead and facilitate engagement sessions and workshops for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and collaboration on sustainability efforts.
- Contribute to the overall delivery of the Carbon Team by supporting best practices and service development.
- Manage and deliver complex projects alongside a dedicated delivery team.
- Assist or lead business development initiatives, including client presentations and bid preparations.
- Demonstrated expertise in carbon management, GHG accounting methodologies, and sustainability reporting.
- Prior experience with major infrastructure projects, urban planning, corporate entities, or blue-chip companies is advantageous.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills, with the capability to convert complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience in client relations and stakeholder engagement, with a proven record of fostering productive partnerships and delivering client-centered solutions.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, adept at leading discussions and engaging diverse stakeholders towards sustainable outcomes.
- Ability to deliver clear presentations and high-quality reports tailored to varying client needs.
- Experience in client interaction and involvement in business development, including the formulation of business cases, scope definition, planning, and execution of energy projects.
