Adult Social Care Lawyer Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Adult Social Care Lawyer to join our team on a locum basis. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Adult Social Care law and be able to provide expert advice and guidance to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide expert advice and guidance on Adult Social Care law to our clients
  • Attend and advise at meetings attended by professionals such as Safeguarding Adults from Abuse Meetings (SAFFA's), case planning meetings and other similar meetings
  • Conduct advocacy before the Court and instruct counsel where appropriate
  • Ensure that decisions made by client departments are within legal boundaries and accord with Council policy
  • Maintain awareness of all relevant legislation, policy and regulations and investigate and advise on implications of changing legislation, case law and codes of practice and policy
Requirements:
  • Qualified Solicitor/Lawyer, Legal Executive, Barrister or Legal Officer with prior experience working within the Public Sector or Private Practice
  • Strong background in Adult Social Care law and ability to provide expert advice and guidance
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
