Coventry, Coventry, United Kingdom Sainsbury's Full time

Why become part of our team

Joining Sainsbury's as a Property Logistics Manager means immersing yourself in a vibrant and dynamic setting where you will be pivotal in overseeing supplier partnerships within our property logistics for our capital investment initiatives. As a prominent player in the UK retail sector, we present a diverse and intricate delivery landscape that offers unique challenges and avenues for advancement. With an emphasis on innovation and ongoing enhancement, we foster fresh ideas and provide the necessary resources and support to make a significant impact. Become a member of our energetic team that prioritizes excellence, teamwork, and the chance to influence the supply chain of a leading retail organization.

Key Responsibilities

As the Property Logistics Manager at Sainsbury's, your main duty will be to adeptly manage the property supplier partnerships to facilitate the successful implementation of the capital investment initiatives while considering aspects such as timing, costs, and adaptability. You will oversee relationships with warehousing, logistics, and other supply chain collaborators, assess supplier and contractor performance, and promote continuous enhancements in the equipment logistics. Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical skills, and strategic thinking will be essential for your success in this position. You will collaborate closely with property and procurement stakeholders to anticipate equipment needs up to three years ahead, ensuring their readiness for project execution. Your role will involve selecting the most appropriate logistics strategy for various projects, evaluating new specifications and suppliers, and optimizing logistics pathways. Furthermore, you will manage the Property Supply Centre (PSC), ensuring effective inventory control, order processing with suppliers, adherence to lead times, and exploring opportunities for equipment refurbishment and recycling.

Ideal Candidate Profile

As the Property Logistics Manager, you are a seasoned professional with a solid history of managing supplier partnerships, particularly in a fast-paced and complex delivery context. With a robust understanding of logistics principles, you excel at ensuring the successful execution of capital investment initiatives. Your expertise in stakeholder engagement enables you to effectively connect and influence both internal and external stakeholders at senior levels. You possess outstanding communication abilities and a strategic perspective, allowing you to make informed decisions, enhance performance, and continuously refine processes. Your capability to foresee and address complex challenges, along with your commercial insight, contributes to the overall success of the property logistics and project delivery.

We are dedicated to fostering an inclusive workplace, welcoming individuals from all backgrounds. Here, you will have opportunities to explore new roles, whether within an evolving team or across different areas of the business. We take professional development seriously and promise to support your growth. We also recognize and celebrate team members who go above and beyond, offering flexible working arrangements whenever possible. Upon joining our team, you will gain access to an exceptional range of benefits, including:

Starting with colleague discounts, you will enjoy 10% off your shopping online and in-store at Sainsbury's, Argos, TU, and Habitat, with occasional increases to 15% throughout the year. We prioritize your future with our pension scheme and life insurance. You may also qualify for a performance-related bonus of up to 20% of your salary, depending on our overall performance.

Your well-being is a priority for us. You will receive an annual holiday allowance, with the option to purchase additional leave, and we provide private healthcare. Additional benefits include season ticket loans, interest-free car loans up to £10,000, a cycle-to-work scheme, health cash plans, and salary advances (allowing you to access some of your pay before payday), along with access to a wide range of discounts from numerous retailers. Should you need support, our Employee Assistance Programme is available.

We value the moments that matter, offering up to 26 weeks' pay for maternity or adoption leave and up to 4 weeks' pay for paternity leave.
