Key Responsibilities
As the Property Logistics Manager at Sainsbury's, your main duty will be to adeptly manage the property supplier partnerships to facilitate the successful implementation of the capital investment initiatives while considering aspects such as timing, costs, and adaptability. You will oversee relationships with warehousing, logistics, and other supply chain collaborators, assess supplier and contractor performance, and promote continuous enhancements in the equipment logistics. Strong stakeholder engagement, analytical skills, and strategic thinking will be essential for your success in this position. You will collaborate closely with property and procurement stakeholders to anticipate equipment needs up to three years ahead, ensuring their readiness for project execution. Your role will involve selecting the most appropriate logistics strategy for various projects, evaluating new specifications and suppliers, and optimizing logistics pathways. Furthermore, you will manage the Property Supply Centre (PSC), ensuring effective inventory control, order processing with suppliers, adherence to lead times, and exploring opportunities for equipment refurbishment and recycling.

With a robust understanding of logistics principles, you excel at ensuring the successful execution of capital investment initiatives. Your expertise in stakeholder engagement enables you to effectively connect and influence both internal and external stakeholders at senior levels. You possess outstanding communication abilities and a strategic perspective, allowing you to make informed decisions, enhance performance, and continuously refine processes. Your capability to foresee and address complex challenges, along with your commercial insight, contributes to the overall success of the property logistics and project delivery.
