Position Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and motivated Clinical Psychology Assistant to become a part of our esteemed Chronic Pain and Fatigue Management Service.
This well-established multidisciplinary team focuses on assisting individuals dealing with various chronic pain disorders and ME/CFS. You will play a vital role in supporting the efforts of clinical and counseling psychologists, engaging in interdisciplinary evaluations and management of chronic pain and fatigue. Regular guidance and mentorship will be provided by seasoned clinical psychologists. Strong communication and teamwork abilities are crucial, although prior experience in chronic pain and fatigue management is not a prerequisite. Your primary location will be within our operational teams.
Key Responsibilities
Your role will involve supporting Clinical Psychologists in delivering specialized services to individuals experiencing chronic pain and fatigue. Specifically, you will enhance the psychological care provided to clients across various care sectors by:
- Conducting psychological assessments and interventions under the supervision of a qualified psychologist.
- Working autonomously in accordance with a plan established with a qualified psychologist, while adhering to the service's policies and procedures.
- Assisting with clinically related administrative tasks, conducting audits, gathering statistics, and contributing to the development of audit and/or research initiatives.
- Engaging in teaching and project-related activities.

Candidate Profile
Education & Qualifications
Essential
- A minimum of an upper second-class honors degree in psychology.
- Eligibility for graduate membership of the British Psychological Society.
Experience

- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex and sensitive information effectively.
- Capability to apply psychological knowledge and experience within a clinical health psychology framework.
Skills & Knowledge
