Job Title: Commercial Contracts Manager

As a Commercial Contracts Manager at ENGINEERINGUK, you will lead commercial activity for the delivery of existing business and/or new business requirements within cross-functional teams. Your role will involve devising and delivering commercial strategies, understanding complex data and technical requirements, and translating that understanding into compelling business-winning and delivery strategies.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Develop and deliver innovative commercial solutions in support of proposals and customer requirements, including administration of complex due diligence activity.
  • Identify and manage contract change throughout the contract life cycle to maximise opportunities and reduce risks to performance.
  • Share responsibility for programme and bid financial performance with multi-functional leadership teams.
  • Produce business cases and briefing materials for senior management reviews.
Candidate Requirements:
  • Experience of negotiating Commercial Agreements in the Defence, Cyber, Training, and Aerospace Industry.
  • Relevant business degree or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent communication skills, combined with a flexible and positive attitude.
  • Experience of programme financial management and how to apply that to risk and opportunities.
  • Strong record of problem-solving with an ability to drive performance through others.
  • Experience of Customer/Subcontractor Relationship Management.
  • Qualification at Degree level or equivalent or equivalent work experience.
Desirable:
  • Experience of working with a diverse customer group based within Government departments, either as a prime or subcontractor.
  • Knowledge of Teaming Agreements.
  • Multi-functional team leader experience, including coaching and mentoring experience.
