Job Summary:

Site Skills is seeking an experienced and skilled Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of construction projects in South London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of construction projects, ensuring they meet budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
  • Site Supervision: Provide on-site supervision and leadership to a team of technicians and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards.
  • Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, to meet project requirements.
  • Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all construction work adheres to relevant codes, standards, and project specifications.
  • Documentation and Reporting: Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
  • Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies, regularly communicating project status and resolving any issues or disputes.
  • Safety Compliance: Enforce strict adherence to safety protocols and regulations on site, conducting safety meetings and implementing safety training programs.
  • Problem Solving: Identify and address any technical, logistical, or operational challenges that arise during the project, developing and implementing effective solutions.
  • Cost Control: Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and propose value engineering options without compromising on safety or quality standards.

Requirements:

  • Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of construction processes, materials, and installation techniques, as well as relevant codes and standards.
  • Leadership Skills: Excellent leadership qualities, including strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Organisational Skills: Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Construction Industry Experience: Prior experience in construction or related fields is desirable.
  • Safety Focus: Strong commitment to safety, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a culture of safety on site.
  • Client Relationship Management: Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Adaptability: Flexible and adaptable to changing project requirements, deadlines, and environments.
  • Problem-Solving Orientation: Proactive approach to problem-solving and ability to think critically to overcome challenges and achieve project objectives.
