We are seeking an experienced Site Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of construction projects in South London. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities- Project Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of passive fire protection projects on construction sites, coordinating with all stakeholders to ensure projects are completed within budget, schedule, and quality requirements.
- Site Supervision: Provide on-site supervision and leadership to a team of technicians and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and industry standards for passive fire protection installations.
- Resource Allocation: Efficiently allocate resources, including labour, materials, and equipment, to meet project requirements, coordinating deliveries, managing inventory, and maintaining accurate records of materials used on site.
- Quality Control: Conduct regular inspections to ensure that all passive fire protection installations adhere to relevant codes, standards, and project specifications, maintaining comprehensive project documentation, including daily logs, progress reports, and change orders.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, subcontractors, and regulatory agencies, regularly communicating project status, resolving any issues or disputes, and providing timely updates on progress.
- Conduct safety meetings, implement safety training programs, and actively promote a culture of safety among the project team.
- Identify and address any technical, logistical, or operational challenges that arise during the project, developing and implementing effective solutions to ensure successful project outcomes.
- Monitor project costs, identify cost-saving opportunities, and propose value engineering options without compromising on safety or quality standards, tracking and approving project-related expenses and invoices.
- Strong understanding of passive fire protection systems, materials, and installation techniques.
- Excellent leadership qualities to effectively manage and motivate a team.
- Strong communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.
- Effective time management and resource allocation skills.
- Prior experience in construction or related fields is desirable.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
- Flexibility and adaptability to changing project requirements, deadlines, and environments.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to think critically to overcome challenges and achieve project objectives.
