Meritus is a national security consultancy that provides secure application development services to government and private sector clients. We are seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineering Lead to join our team in London or Manchester.

**Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Software Engineering Lead to lead our technical team in designing, building, and maintaining secure applications for our clients. The successful candidate will have a strong background in software engineering, with experience in leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers.

**Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the technical team in designing, building, and maintaining secure applications for our clients.
  • Develop and implement technical strategies to improve the quality and security of our applications.
  • Mentor and guide junior engineers to improve their skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure our applications remain secure and competitive.

**Requirements:

  • Strong background in software engineering, with experience in leading technical teams and mentoring junior engineers.
  • Experience in designing, building, and maintaining secure applications for government and private sector clients.
  • Strong knowledge of DevOps tools and practices, including CI/CD, containers, and cloud hosting.
  • Experience with cloud hosting platforms, such as AWS.
  • Active DV security clearance.

**Nice to Have:

  • Experience with mobile development, particularly Android.
  • Experience with AI/ML technologies.
