Job Summary

Primary Care Careers is seeking a part-time Prescription Clerk to join their busy dispensary team. The successful candidate will provide a responsive repeat prescription service, process requests accurately and efficiently, and maintain precise records of communications.

Main Responsibilities

  • Process repeat prescription requests via the online system, slips, post, or by phone.
  • Deal with queries over the counter and on the telephone in a timely manner.
  • Follow protocols for end of day closedown procedures, counting scripts, and entering figures onto SystmOne.
  • Respond to enquiries/requests from patients, carers, secretaries, administrators, or GPs in a courteous, timely, and efficient manner.
  • Maintain precise records of communications.
  • Generate requests for medication on behalf of patients for non-repeat items.

Desirable Qualifications

  • Previous general practice experience and knowledge of SystmOne is desirable but not essential.
