Primary Care Careers is seeking a part-time Prescription Clerk to join our team at a busy medical centre. As a Prescription Clerk, you will play a vital role in providing a responsive repeat prescription service, ensuring all requests are processed accurately and efficiently within a 3-5 day timeframe.
Main Responsibilities
- Process repeat prescription requests via the online system, slips, post, or by phone.
- Deal with queries over the counter and on the telephone in a timely manner.
- Follow protocols for end-of-day closedown procedures, counting scripts, and entering figures onto our electronic patient record system.
- Respond to enquiries/requests from patients, carers, secretaries, administrators, or GPs in a courteous, timely, and efficient manner.
- Maintain precise records of communications.
- Generate requests for medication on behalf of patients for non-repeat items.
