About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated individual to join our team as an Orthopaedic Fellow at Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a specialist centre as part of a team of highly experienced surgeons, providing a regional tertiary complex arthroplasty service.

Main Responsibilities
  • Attend elective clinics and theatres for consultants
  • Work with and receive training from experienced consultants
  • Gain experience in complex hip and knee arthroplasty
  • Develop skills in primary and revision arthroplasty

Person Specification
  • Essential:
    • Previous registrar-level experience in Trauma & Orthopaedics Surgery
    • Certification in Trauma & Orthopaedics (or expected to achieve by start date)
    • Logbook evidence of experience in hip and knee arthroplasty; confident to perform primary arthroplasty with trainer scrubbed
  • Desirable:
    • Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS)
    • Evidence of Leadership & Management training

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Working methodically with positive outcomes
  • Exceptional preparation, scheduling and administration skills for unified patient management
  • In-line with requirements for the role
