Interim Financial Operations Manager

SF Recruitment is excited to collaborate with a prominent public sector organization in their quest for an Interim Financial Operations Manager, offering a flexible working arrangement with substantial remote work opportunities.
This pivotal position within the organization will report directly to the Financial Controller and will play a crucial role in the finance leadership team.
The Financial Operations Manager will be tasked with ensuring that relevant reporting is conducted to deliver a suitable level of business insight and facilitate informed decision-making. Additionally, this role will support various business projects as necessary.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong commitment to continuous improvement and team development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage the Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Master Data processes and transactions.
- Ensure the accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting during the month-end process for transactional services.
- Establish and integrate a new Master Data Function.
- Evaluate, design, and implement controls over Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and Data Management processes.
- Collaborate closely with the treasury department to effectively manage working capital and cash flow.
- Maintain and nurture financial relationships with stakeholders.
- Provide essential financial decision support to the Financial Controller and other senior management as needed.
- Contribute to all relevant projects, ensuring that core processes are taken into account and appropriate solutions are developed.
- Demonstrate experience in leading and managing teams within complex organizational structures, handling large volumes of intricate data, and ensuring the integrity of complex data interfaces, as well as managing cash flow projections.
The successful candidate will have a proven track record of continuous improvement, alongside strong leadership and motivational capabilities, evidenced by substantial experience in financial management and strategy. Effective communication with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, as well as key senior external stakeholders, is essential.
A competitive salary or daily rate will be offered, commensurate with the responsibilities of the role. This position is critical for the organization and is expected to commence promptly, with an initial duration of 3-6 months, with the potential for extension.
