Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition Specialist to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of education for children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities. As a Talent Acquisition Specialist, you will be responsible for sourcing top tutors for specific locations and collaborating with our team to ensure they get through the vetting process efficiently.

Key Responsibilities
  • Sourcing and Recruitment: Develop and implement effective sourcing strategies to identify and attract top SEND qualified tutor talent. Utilize job boards, social media, networking, and professional associations to find the best tutors for our locations.
  • Collaboration and Coordination: Partner with the Tutor Administration Team to ensure a smooth vetting process. Work closely with internal teams to understand and meet tutor requirements, and support establishing staffing needs and produce forecasts.
  • Onboarding and Support: Facilitate a seamless onboarding process for new tutors, provide ongoing support to ensure tutors are integrated smoothly, and enhance the tutor onboarding experience using technology where possible.
  • Strategic Advertising: Be strategic with job ads and tutor sourcing methods. Develop and implement creative advertising strategies to attract high-quality candidates, engage with educational institutions and networks to maintain a talent pipeline, and stay abreast of SEND policies, regulations, and best practices in education recruitment.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Maintain accurate recruitment data to track and report key metrics, provide insights for process improvement, and review current talent attraction strategies and provide insights into HR efforts.
Essential Criteria:
  • Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • Sector Experience: Proven experience in talent acquisition within the Education sector and preferably specifically in SEND.
  • Skills: Demonstrated ability to meet recruitment targets and work in a fast-paced environment, passion for SEND education and improving outcomes for children with special needs, integrity and loyalty, and a hands-on, can-do attitude.
Desirable Criteria:
  • SEND Knowledge: Strong knowledge of SEND policies, regulations, and the SEND Code of Practice.
  • Talent Acquisition Strategies: Knowledge of talent acquisition strategies specific to the SEND education market.
  • EHCP Processes: Familiarity with EHCP processes.
  • Local Authority Experience: Experience working with local authorities in the education sector.
  • ATS Proficiency: Previous experience and proficiency with applicant tracking systems.
  • Sourcing and Networking: Strong sourcing and networking skills.
  • Communication and Interpersonal Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
