Supply Chain Admin Assistant
High Wycombe, office-based 2-3 days per week
Mint Velvet is a brand that emerged from the vision of its founders, Liz Houghton and Lisa Agar-Rea, who aimed to craft a chic collection of contemporary staples and elevated fits that were absent from their wardrobes. Frustrated by the lack of desired apparel and exceptional customer service, they fused relaxed comfort with glamorous yet practical fashion trends, giving rise to the concept of Relaxed Glamour.
Our commitment extends beyond fashion; we strive to be a positive force and are dedicated to evolving into a more circular and responsible enterprise. This commitment influences our choice of materials and our thoughtful processes. As a dynamic and expanding business, we foster an environment conducive to growth and advancement, balanced with the necessary support and flexibility to thrive in a high-performance culture.
Our leadership team actively engages with staff, promoting a culture of balance and enthusiasm. Mint Velvet is a unique workplace, underpinned by our core values: people, planet, and community.
As a Supply Chain Admin Assistant, your role will involve facilitating the cost-effective, timely, and compliant movement of all imported and exported stock. Communicate any stock delays to the Buying & Merchandising and Digital teams to minimize impacts on product launches and marketing initiatives. Monitor delays and alert the Supply Chain team of any recurring issues that require further investigation. Calculate freight pre-costings and relay this information to assist teams in making informed decisions regarding import/export methods. Diligently check and identify any discrepancies in customs entries, such as commodity codes and customs procedure codes, while calculating duty and VAT. Support the Supply Chain Manager in Freight Forwarder Operational meetings, attending as necessary to review service levels and key performance indicators. Ensure all import/export processes and customs practices are compliant and updated in accordance with evolving HMRC legislation.Ideal Candidate Profile:
A positive and professional demeanor, with a commitment to maintaining high standards and adhering to deadlines. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with comfort in presenting information to others. Proficiency with numbers and data analysis. Ability to match productivity with the fast-paced demands of the role.Benefits:
