Job Summary

We are currently seeking a Mechanical Engineer - Critical Facilities to join our team in Slough. As a Mechanical Engineer - Critical Facilities, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our data centre's mechanical systems, including power generators, water and cooling systems, chillers, condensers, AC systems, CRAC units, lighting, HVAC, pumps, motors, and BMS operation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform planned and reactive maintenance on mechanical systems to ensure optimal performance and efficiency
  • Conduct routine inspections and tests to identify potential issues and implement corrective actions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve mechanical system-related issues
  • Develop and implement maintenance schedules to ensure compliance with industry standards
  • Provide technical guidance and support to junior engineers and other team members

Requirements

  • Full Mechanical Engineering City & Guilds qualifications or equivalent
  • Proven track record of working in critical environments, such as data centres or banking
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical systems, including power generators, water and cooling systems, chillers, condensers, AC systems, CRAC units, lighting, HVAC, pumps, motors, and BMS operation
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
