About the Role

Kier Construction is seeking a highly experienced Regional Commercial Manager to join our North West Region. This is a senior-level opportunity to oversee commercial teams and drive business growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Oversee commercial teams in the region, ensuring effective implementation of commercial strategy and management of staff.
  • Produce and collate high-level consolidated cost and expenditure reports, overseeing the monthly valuation process for the region.
  • Set and oversee financial contingency built into projects, ensuring contingency allowances reflect the current programme position.
  • Review and adjudicate potential contractor and supplier claims, managing the finalisation of contractor's accounts and close out contracts for projects.
  • Attribute commercial resource where required across the region, ensuring adequate commercial coverage for all tenders, PCSA, and live projects.
Requirements
  • Formal qualification in Quantity Surveying or equivalent.
  • Experience in a senior commercial capacity within a Tier 1, construction-focused main contracting environment managing teams of significant size.
  • Excellent overall contractual awareness with strong understanding of NEC, JCT conditions, arbitration, and adjudication processes.
  • Strong commercial reporting track record, ability to produce board-level reports for the region accurately outlining the business commercial position, risks, and opportunities.
  • Experience in developing and implementing wider commercial strategies to drive work winning, business unit growth, and profitability.
