We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Band 6 nurse to join our Respiratory Ward team. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading a team of nurses in delivering exceptional standards of care.

The successful candidate will have a thorough understanding of respiratory nursing and be able to demonstrate excellent clinical skills, interpersonal and communication skills, and the ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, effective, and compassionate nursing care to patients on the Respiratory Ward.
  • Supervise and support junior members of the team, acting as a role model and providing guidance and mentorship.
  • Work closely with the ward manager to ensure that clinical, professional, and cleanliness standards are maintained on the ward.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless care.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of ward policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Registered Nurse with a degree in nursing studies or a healthcare-related subject.
  • Experience as a Band 5 nurse in a respiratory ward or similar setting.
  • Proven leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with a flexible approach to working hours.
