Job Title: Accident and Emergency Nurse

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Accident and Emergency Nurse to join our team at the Neonatal Unit at Sunderland Royal Hospital. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care and leading/coordinating shifts to ensure the effective and compassionate care of our patients.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide safe and effective nursing care to patients in the Neonatal Unit
  • Lead and coordinate shifts to ensure the smooth operation of the unit
  • Support junior staff and students in their development and training
  • Ensure effective communication with the multidisciplinary team to provide comprehensive patient care
  • Act as shift coordinator and ensure the provision of effective nursing care
Requirements:
  • Current NMC Registration (RN / RSCN/ RN CHILD)
  • Degree in nursing studies or healthcare related subject (UK equivalent) or evidence of currently working towards this
  • Mentorship certificate/ Practice Assessor training or demonstrable equivalent experience
  • Experience as a Band 5 and Neonatal Intensive Care Experience within past 24 months
  • Ability to work without supervision and provide complex, sensitive or contentious information
