About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team at South Reading and Shinfield Group Medical Practice. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in improving the quality and safety of care delivered to our patients.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular medication audits to ensure accurate and safe prescribing practices.
- Assist in the delivery of medicines optimisation and management incentive schemes to improve patient care.
- Work closely with local pharmacies to improve efficiencies and patient outcomes.
- Ensure dose optimisation on medicines and oversee team work for medication switches and synchronisation.
- Provide expertise to address public health and social care needs of patients, including lifestyle advice and help in tackling local health inequalities.
Requirements
- General Pharmaceutical Council Registration.
- Minimum of 4 GCSE's at Grade C or above (or equivalent qualification) in English, Mathematics and Science subjects.
- Experience of working as a qualified registered pharmacy technician in primary care, community or hospital pharmacy.
