About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Pharmacy Technician to join our team at South Reading and Shinfield Group Medical Practice. As a Pharmacy Technician, you will play a vital role in improving the quality and safety of care delivered to patients across our practice.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct regular medication audits to ensure accurate and safe prescribing practices.
- Assist in the delivery of medicines optimisation and management incentive schemes to improve patient care.
- Work closely with local pharmacies to improve efficiencies and patient outcomes.
- Ensure dose optimisation on medicines and oversee team work for medication switches and synchronisation.
- Provide expertise to address public health and social care needs of patients, including lifestyle advice and help in tackling local health inequalities.
About Us
South Reading and Shinfield Group Medical Practice is a long-established large GP practice, rated GOOD in all categories by CQC. We are a friendly, professional, and experienced team offering a wide range of clinical services. We do not employ staff who are registered at the practice as patients.
Person Specification
- General Pharmaceutical Council Registration.
- Experience of working as a qualified registered pharmacy technician in primary care, community or hospital pharmacy.
- Computer literate with an ability to use the required GP clinical systems and Microsoft office packages.
