We are seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to enhance our engineering capabilities at Leidos. The ideal candidate will possess a comprehensive understanding of systems engineering principles and have prior experience in a significant program that involves the acceptance and integration of deliveries from various suppliers.

Leveraging your expertise in Systems Engineering, you will collaborate with clients and suppliers to carry out Systems Engineering tasks throughout the entire lifecycle.

As a Senior Systems Engineer at Leidos, you will be engaged in one of our pivotal programs, providing support for a complex and evolving MOD system. Your work will directly contribute to the National Security of the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

Your main duty will be to implement effective systems engineering practices in a predominantly Windows environment. Essential subsystems encompass radio, video, and network interfaces. Your responsibilities will include comprehensive lifecycle management of a systems environment, project delivery in accordance with client directives, and technical advancement of the core system.

Qualifications:

  • Current security clearance or the capability to obtain DV clearance.
  • Experience in MS Windows Server administration and related technologies such as Active Directory, DNS, and DHCP.
  • Familiarity with MS SQL Server Administration is advantageous.
  • Responsible for the implementation, configuration, maintenance, and performance of critical Microsoft server systems.
  • Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware and Hyper-V.
  • Manage server patching across various product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
  • Configure and maintain Windows servers and processes, including monitoring system health and performance to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
  • Analyze, resolve, and rectify issues in real-time, providing end-to-end problem resolution.
  • Experience with backup, restore, and recovery models, such as Veeam and BackupExec.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Red Hat systems.
  • Working knowledge of radio technologies, particularly ROIP.
  • Familiarity with networking technologies.
  • Understanding of JSP440 security guidelines.
  • Knowledge or experience in an MBSE environment.
  • Experience collaborating with industry partners and platform integrators to facilitate platform integration and installation.

Clearance Requirement:

This position necessitates DV clearance.
